| BMR Gardening | The garden committee needs volunteers to keep this committee going here on the ranch. We all enjoy the beautiful flowers during the summer months, but unfortunately without volunteers this committee will have to end. Please let the office know if you are interested in taking over this committee, or even just to volunteer. |
The Gardening Club takes care of and improves the flower beds and landscaped areas of the Ranch while enhancing the gardening knowledge and skills of participating Members. Contact Joanne at Peace Portal 4 or email |

The Arts & Crafts Committee oversees the ceramics center. All members are welcome to use the ceramics center and may gain access by seeing a Security staff person. Pregnant women do need to use caution when entering the center when the kiln is running as some glazes can cause problems. Only qualified persons are allowed to operate the kiln. All supplies have nominal costs, however you are welcome to bring and use your own supplies as well. Look for Arts & Crafts open houses in the spring and summer. |

Crafty Creations oversees the wood working and crafts shop. The shop is located under the stairs at the North end of the big barn. All members can access the shop and use the tools available by contacting a Security staff person. Each visitor to the shop must sign in and sign out with Security. There is no charge for using the facility. Please notify the Security staff if anything is found broken or if in need of first aid. Recycling Committee |
Please bring your glass bottles and aluminum cans to the recycling center behind the dumpsters for recycling. Crushing of the aluminum cans is greatly appreciated. It cuts down on Committee labor and hauling fees. The Committee is raising funds to purchase a compactor to make the garbage area more efficient, less expensive, cleaner and tidier. Your aluminum cans help in the fundraising effort. Thank you!
|
The Recycling Committee provides the opportunity for all members to preserve the environment, save money for the Ranch through reducing garbage disposal charges and help raise funds for improvements to the Ranch facilities by supplying the recycling bins for glass and aluminum cans. The BBQ and gazebo are a wonderful example of what the recycling committee contributes to the Ranch with the funds they raise. New Volunteers Needed! Can you volunteer a day a month? Maybe more? smashing cans busting glass, kind of sounds like fun, doesn't it? Put your name in at the Office or with Cathie at Rushmore 12 or Glenda at Lopez 10. And thank you for your help! |
| Youth/Teen Committee |
Thanks to all the members who helped with the Kids' Christmas party. Sure was nice seeing all those smiling faces (even the adult ones) sitting on Santa’s' knee for pictures. Huge thanks to Santa for making time on his busy schedule. One little fellow even came up to me at the end and asked if Santa had told me how much the EB games card in his raffle prize bag was worth. His face lit up when I told him Santa had shared that information with me and the amount of the card. The winner of the Disneyland trip or cash equivalent was Judy Bignell from Nooksack 12. Needless to say it was fun for me playing Santa and making that call and she was pretty excited. Thanks to all of you who helped support the Youth Committee this past year. Our next event won't be till the spring so hope you all have a great Christmas. It would really help also if all more parents with children volunteered to help the committee next year. Virg & Hyla
|
The Youth Committee hosts holiday events such as Easter egg hunts, Halloween and Christmas parties for children age 12 years old and younger. The Teen Club puts on events that help Ranch teens get together in constructive activities and also provides opportunities for the teens to help out with other club and committee's events. Your contribution of time and talent is appreciated. New ideas as well as help with the traditional BMR Youth activities are welcome. I would like the teens to put forward some ideas of how we can fix up the Youth/Teen Room. Email Virg or Hyla for information regarding getting involved or events. |
| Adult Health and Wellness | The Adult Health & Wellness group is committed to a healthy lifestyle, and we’re looking to expand our club base. To join us, you must be over 21 and alive. That pretty much sums it up.
|
This group meets at 9 am Saturday mornings for water aerobics in the indoor pool, and 11 am Sunday mornings for a Ranch walk. The walk commences at the bottom of the downhill, by the horseshoes parking lot. Anyone over the age of 19 is welcome to participate. Hello all - My name is Poppy Swannell. My husband and I are fairly new to the Ranch. We learned that the Health & Wellness needed a volunteer, so here I am. I am new to this so I am wide open for any suggestions or ideas. Email Poppy. |
| Soap Box Derby | The big race is on hold until confirmation of the uphill planned for resurfacing is received. This gives you some time and opportunity to register and build or obtain a car. Get things rolling now! There are specific steps to go through as you build your car and inspections along the way. | To sign up to volunteer on the committee or to help at the race click here to email the chairperson your name and contact info. This committee is temporarily disbanned. |
Are you involved in a Club or Committee? If so, let the Chair or Secretary know that you would like to have a web page of your club's own from this web site, or links to your sign up sheet, etc. contact the webmaster via email or at the Ranch office.
