As of 6/1/07 Interwest Construction needed to take a week off from replacing the FreezeFlow standpipes in the Golfcourse area due to demands of another large job the company is working on at Kendall. They will be back at the Ranch starting Monday 6/4; so be prepared for daytime water service interuptions again. Attention Golf Course Area Campers! There have been so many badly leaking FreezeFlow standpipes that it has become necessary for the water service to be turned off during the weekdays while the Interwest crew is working on replacing them. They will not be back after Fri. the 25th until Tuesday the 29th, breaking for Memorial Day. Starting Monday 5/21 , Interwest Construction will be working their way through installing new Woodford heated standpipe to replace the FreezeFlow one originally installed in the water upgrade. The Woodford standpipes are much more suitable for the type of use and environment here at the Ranch and the FreezeFlow model has proven to be very problematic for us. The work to replace these standpipes will not cause any closures, but only short interruptions in water service to small sections of the Golf Course area. You may want to have a couple of jugs of water stored up for the 45 minutes to an hour that your water will be turned off, if you will be here during that week. Please pass the word on to you neighbors who may not have internet. Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
As you gear up to come back to the Ranch again, Wooded 2 Members should be prepared to do some clean up and minor repairs around their sites. Due to both the winter storms and the water upgrade work. The construction crew has been working fast and furious to get the campsite area done and could not always take the time to gently remove landscaping, lights and small fences. We can be confident that they concentrated their efforts on doing quality work on building our new water system. They have worked through torrential rains, wind storms and even frozen and snowy weather to get the project done as swiftly as possible so that all of you could get back to enjoying your campsite at BMR. We hope that everyone can be understnding of all the circumstances. Thank you in advance. Below are the predicted completion dates for following phases of the project; Wooded Two – Pipe installation – March 10 th. Wooded Two – Rock roads and restoration – March 24 th. Common Areas (around the barns, shop and office);Pipe Installation – March 31 st. Rock roads and parking areas – April 7 th. Restoration and paving – April 14 th. Please check here before each visit for new information and to make sure nothing unexpected has happened. Or call the Office toll free at 1.866.563.5212 |

STANDPIPE INFOFreezeFlow Standpipe (installed in the golfcourse campsite area) winterizing instructions click here. Instructions for the Woodford standpipes installed in Wooded 1 instructions and coming new to Riverview/Valleyview and Wooded 2, click the link above. Campsites with the Woodford electric standpipes should be aware that your electric charges will be increased approximately $5 - $7 per month during the months that the standpipe needs to be plugged in. They must be plugged in at all times when freezing weather is a possibility. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ All Members please know that hoses should be disconnected from your standpipe when you are not present at the Ranch during the winter time. When you are at the Ranch using your standpipe during freezing weather, all new models of standpipes need at least the handle faucet part and supply hose to the trailer heat taped and insulated during use to prevent the water service from feezing up. Important information regarding your water service standpipe 1. Plug in the power cord for your woodford models. Photo link 2. Turn water off at spigot, not levers on a splitter. Photo link 3. Disconnect hoses when you leave. Photo link 4. Heat tape and insulate spigot and hoses when using during freezing weather. |
